This film is such a big must see, i was literally texting my friends telling them they need to check it out. From a girl who brought in BRICK" to my interview as my favorite film i must say this outdid it in its cinematography and punchy film noir feel .
From the continuity of the perfect cigar lighting to the bravery of having extremely dark scenes with only moon beams of light the film did not let up till the hold your breath ending .
It felt like a perfect piece of art work , every-shot hand picked and brilliantly lit, composed and paced. I was impressed with the smooth edits and even a fade crossover which i didn't no existed in those days .
lovely friday morning
I'm glad you liked it but not surprised given your fondness for Brick which is essentially a film noir updated and shot in daylight.
ReplyDeleteyes it got me thinking of how i described film noir when you asked me what it was in my interview for coming here, i think after seeing this i have seen true noir but brick is really good :)
